Naturopathic Osteopathy, focuses on more than diagnosing and treating structural or mechanical problems of the body. It lays emphasis on the person's health by linking the mind, body structure and biochemistry (nutrition). It is related to the establishment and maintenance of health as well as the prevention & alleviation of disease.

"Prevention is better than cure".

This form of complementary medicine also addresses posture, lifestyle, nutritional requirements and stress.

Structural & Cranial Osteopathy, including Sports Care, is distinctive in that it recognizes that much of the pain and disabilities we suffer stems from abnormalities in the function of the body, as well as damage caused to it by disease. Changes in the subtle balance of this neuro-musculo-skeletal system can result in altered disturbance of blood supply, drainage and dysfunction of the nervous system, flexibility and mobility, disturbance of blood supply, drainage and dysfunction of the nervous system.

Visceral Osteopathy is an approach focusing on the bodies internal organs and may include some structural techniques, in addition mobilization of internal structures increasing motility and decrease local congestion. Treatment utilises a variety of techniques to help improve the physiological functions of the joints, internal structures and organs of the body. Treatments are individually tailored using gentle techniques suitable for all.

Treatment modalities may include gentle stretching, strengthening and release techniques; mobilization of joints and tissues, re-education of structures, strapping, nutritional advice. Treatment can be tailored to aid in rehabilitation. Exercises can be devised to help you manage your back pain, advice on lifting and ergonomics (occupational setup) and posture are available.
