Naturopathy
What Naturopathic treatment involves
Naturopaths use a variety of treatments.
These include dietary advice, nutritional supplements, detoxification,
hands-on osteopathic work and hydrotherapy.
Nutrition & analysis: This is optimum health through good food and involves a
nutrient analysis of what you eat and drink.
Hydrotherapy: Hot and cold water in the form of baths, packs, compresses and
spray treatments to encourage circulation.
Detoxification: Cleansing to allow healing to take place. This is often accompanied by
elimination diets and does not necessarily mean fasting. It is important to note that fasting is not a good or
efficient way to lose weight.
Naturopathic Osteopathy focuses on more than diagnosing and treating structural or mechanical problems of the body. It lays emphasis on the person's health by linking the mind, body structure and biochemistry (nutrition). It is related to the establishment and maintenance of health as well as the prevention & alleviation of disease.
"Prevention is better than cure".
This form of complementary medicine also addresses posture, lifestyle,
nutritional requirements and stress.
Osteopathy: To restore structural balance and improve tissue tone incorporating exercise and improved lifestyle to include general care of the body, the value of relaxation and stress reduction. Your naturopath will look at all aspects of your lifestyle that may adversely affect your health.
