Regulated by statue under the Osteopaths Act 1993
Osteopaths undertake an intensive 4 to 5 years Degree Course.

  • Since May 2000, following the 1993 Osteopaths Act, anyone calling themself an Osteopath must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council in order to practice.
  • The highly developed diagnostic techniques employed by osteopaths allow them to determine conditions that require a quick referral. This enables Osteopaths to assume the role of Primary Care Physicians.
